The Cosman Stereotactic TC Electrodes are indicated for use in RF heat lesion making procedures.
The TC Electrodes were designed by Bernard J. Cosman, MS and Eric R. Cosman, PhD. They have an insulated shaft except for an uninsulated electrode tip. They are available in a variety of standard shaft lengths, diameters, and tip lengths as shown in the table. The exposed tip has a rounded end and a built-in thermocouple (TC) temperature sensor for thermal monitoring of the RF lesion process.

The TC Electrode comes with a metal protective tube for storage and sterilization. Accessories are available separately. The CB112-TC Cable connects the TC Electrode to the Cosman RF Generators. The C112-TC Cable connects the TC Electrode to the Radionics RFG-3CF or RFG-3C Plus RF Generators. The TC-CASE is to store and sterilize TC Electrodes with their tubes, Cables, Depth Stops, Guide Tubes, and other accessories. Depth Stops, Guide Tubes, Reducing Tubes, and Drills are shown on the opposite page.

The Catalog Number for a TC Electrode is specified as TC(A)(B)(C),
where A, B, and C are given in the Table; for example, TC(1.6)(4)(250).
