Reusable Cordotomy Electrode (LCE)

The LCE-TC is an autoclavable electrode that is used for percutaneous RF heat lesioning in the spinothalamic tract for the treatment of pain.  The LCE-SC Sizing Clamp on the electrode's hub allows adjustment of the RF tip extension beyond the tip of the introducing LCE-LP Spinal Needle.

The LCE Kit was designed by Dr. Allan B. Levin, MD and Dr. Eric R. Cosman, PhD, and has been used successfully by physicians for over 30 years in the treatment of severe intractable pain due to cancer and other pain syndromes.

The LCE-TC Electrode contains a built-in thermocouple (TC) temperature sensor for fastresponding monitoring of the radiofrequency heat lesioning process.  Its sharpened exposed tip has 0.25 mm diameter and 1.8 mm tip length.

The LCE Kit comes with three LCE-LP Spinal Needle and stylet sets, each having a 20-gauge, 3½ inch long shaft and 30 degree bevel point.
